BLACKBERRY COOLER

This drink is perhaps my all time September favourite, mostly because the blackberries are so easy to get hold of! Around this time of year blackberries can be found in almost every country lane and often I find myself picking them off and eating them on a daily stroll. So, I thought why not incorporate them into a cocktail that represents the best part of the change from summer into autumn. Let’s make the most of what nature provides us!

Ingredients (serves 1)

1 Cup Water

1 Shot (44ml) Bramble Gin

1 shot (44ml) Lemon Juice

1tbsp Sugar

1 Cup Sparkling Water

Method:

  1. In advance, place the blackberries in an ice cube tray and fill with water. Freeze for 2-3 hours.

  2. Pour the blackberry ice cubes into a tall glass

  3. Add the bramble gin, lemon juice and sugar and top with sparkling water

  4. With a straw, give it a stir and enjoy!
