You can't go wrong with a toastie, and this Dhansak toastie is packed full of sweet potato and butternut and is bursting with flavour - one of the best things we have made with our new Explore Range! Two sides of thick, fluffy tiger bread have been toasted, holding together a layer of Dhansak, fresh baby spinach, dairy free cheese, mango chutney and red onions. Delicious! Here's how to make it:

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 4 Slices of Tiger Bread (or your favourite alternative!)

  • 20g Fresh Baby Spinach

  • 20g Grated or Crumbled Dairy Free Cheese

  • 1 tbsp Mango Chutney

  • 1/4 Large Red Onion (cut into slices to garnish)


  1. Grab two slices of bread and spread 75g of Dhansak on each one. Then top with the spinach and dairy free cheese.

  2. Spread the mango chutney across the two slices of bread that remain.

  3. Sandwich the two sides together and grill until golden brown and the cheese has melted. (Alternatively you could fry in a pan with a little butter on the outside of each toastie!)
